2010 Pride Parade
The 2010 Chicago Pride Parade will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois, USA
This year's theme is "One Heart, One World, One Pride". As tradition, Team Chicago will have an entry in this year's parade. This is a special year as Team Chicago has worked to rally up many of the local athletes, teams and participants of various sports and cultural events and supporters who are on their way to the 2010 Gay Games in Cologne, Germany. Some of the groups marching with Team Chicago include: Chicago Front Runners, Chicago Gold Stars Soccer Team, Windy City Cycling Association, individuals competing in aquatics, basketball, bowling, cycling, dance sport, marathon, physique, road races, soccer, tennis, track & field, triathlon, volleyball, choral & visual arts will also be joining us.
Participants heading to Cologne can carry Red and White Balloons (official 2010 Games Cologne Colors) and Gay Games signs even if they have a separate float entry for the parade. We also encourage previous medal winners to bring their medals and march the route with us.
Volunteers and marchers are asked to be in the staging area between 10 AM on Sunday, June 27th. Our entry staging # is 69 located around Halsted and Wellington.
