Q: Can they travel on other dates and still get the discounts?
A: We have a full travel agency operations so we can assist them in obtaining the lowest rates all around and apply any available discounts and group rates that are applicable.
Q: Is the group airfare available on any other dates?
A: No, Unfortunately, there are minimum number of passengers for each flight that we must meet and have guaranteed the airline in order to obtain these reduced fares. The current available dates are on the flyer and on the Team Chicago website. Air Travel Only which are the lowest non-stop fares available currently. You may obtain 5% discount on your airfare via American Airlines with the group/promotional code "987A0I" if you need to purchase airfare outside of the official group travel dates.
Q: Are Transfers included in the airfare and packages between Frankfurt and Cologne on each leg of the trip?
A: Yes, we've negotiated discounted rail fares and they are included. It's a comfortable and convenient way to travel and the estimated travel between Frankfurt and Cologne is under one hour -- less than the layovers that you would normally experience by connecting in other European cities to catch a flight into the Cologne Airport. The full travel packages also include land transfer between your home or office in the Chicago area.
Q: Where is the Hilton?
A: The Hilton is conveniently located just two blocks from the main train station in Cologne and offers a wide array of transportation options and dining options in the area fitting all budgets.
Q: Why was the Hilton Cologne selected?
A: Many of the U.S. City Teams decided to join together to develop a Team USA Hotel concept for participants while at the Games. The Hilton was able to offer us the best combination of rates, room sizes, amenities, location and overall value to our members.
Q: Can I share my room with someone that's not with Team Chicago?
A: Yes, as long as one person is part of Team Chicago, the discounted rates can be extended. However, the other party will not have the option to march with Team Chicago nor obtain our official souvenir uniforms at discounted rates. If the other person resides outside of the Chicago area, they may need to make alternate arrangement to get to Chicago O'Hare to join the Team Chicago discounted flights.
Q: Can your travel team help me look for other hotels or assist with travel to other European cities?
